BOOK:The Zappa Supplement: A Box of History and the Mud Shark Saga

Scott Parker, Philip Lee
CreateSpace, 3. okt. 2011 – 220 pages

Here is second, updated and enlarged version. Philip Lee is included in authors list.

»This book was originally self-published in 2008. Since its initial publication, a huge amount of new information has surfaced about the unreleased 1969 History And Collected Improvisations Of The Mothers Of Invention box set in the Frank Zappa community. In 2010, Phil Lee – one of the foremost Zappalogists known to mankind – convinced me to collaborate on a re-writing of the original work, which was by then severely out of date in the information department.«

The unique work is now tremendously expanded, and creates a far more beneficial learning experience than the earlier version.

Starting with reviews for The Sunday Express that lead to the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Mount Cashel orphanage, Philip Lee s writing has got many honours. In 1991, Lee joined the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal and Saint John Times Globe, where he created the award-winning series Watershed Down and the book Home Pool. In 1998, after two years as editor of the Atlantic Salmon Journal, Lee came back to the Telegraph Journal as editor-in-chief. Under his leadership, the newspaper and its weekend journal, The New Brunswick Reader, received a number of local and national newspaper and magazine awards. Philip Lee these days writes for the Ottawa Citizen and is head of the journalism program at St. Thomas University in Fredericton.
