Dale Bozzio did Not Accept Hefner's offer

Dale Bozzio later helped as a Bunny at the Playboy Club in Boston under the name Toni Consalvi. She was titled Boston Playboy Club Bunny of the Year in 1975.

In 1976, Dale traveled to Playboy Mansion West in Los Angeles at the demand of Hugh Hefner to job meeting for the position of Valentine party hostess. The chance offered both a further partnership with Playboy and for living arrangements in Los Angeles, from which she could go after an acting career.

Dale did not accept Hefner's offer, and she did not secure living arrangements. She then headed out to Los Angeles to resume the pursuit of her acting dream and met Frank Zappa, whom she had met earlier at one of his shows in Boston. At their meeting, seeing potential in Bozzio, Zappa engaged her to voice the section of Mary in his rock opera Joe's Garage, which was under development back then. While with Zappa, she completed important roles in Joe's Garage Act I, Joe's Garage Acts II & III, Thing-Fish, and The Lost Episodes. She also appears in Baby Snakes (The Film). During her work with Zappa, she met his drummer, Terry Bozzio. Consalvi became Dale Bozzio once they married in 1979.

In 1980 they created the group Missing Persons (also called US Drag). Their first recording was created at FZ's UMRK studio and grew to be a local No 1 on Bingenheimer's airplays for KROQ radio station. Their album, Spring Session M (an anagram of "Missing Persons"), went gold. The two Bozzios and Cuccurullo made an appearance in a Playboy Playmate VHS The Lunch Wagon (1981 & film 1982), soundtracked by Missing Persons.

Dale Bozzio continued to record and perform since the breakup of the original Missing Persons group. Throughout the early 1990s, Bozzio toured with her own hired band using the name "Missing Persons" and performing Missing Persons tunes.

In June 2005, Missing Persons featuring Bozzio appeared on week five of the NBC show Hit Me Baby One More Time. In 2014 she was signed to Cleopatra Records and introduced a fresh studio album named, Missing In Action.

Dale also performed at FZ's 50th special birthday tribute at the New York Ritz in November 1991, changing the lyrics of his Packard Goose track to "Music...and Frank Zappa...are the best." She is furthermore included on the live album & film of the event, Zappa's Universe.
